Look What's Happening at a Ballpark Near You! | |  | | Dear Kristin, Earlier this month, the Stockton Ports commenced their 2023 season with one main objective in mind - to provide affordable family fun to our community. If you attended one of our first 9 home games this month, I would like to personally thank you for your support. I hope you enjoyed your experience and choose to return to Banner Island Ballpark many more times this season! In case you missed it, here are some of the highlights from our first month back: - Opening Weekend Extravaganza - We saw fans eager to come out to the ballpark and experience Ports Baseball after a long off season! It was great to the get community back at Banner Island Ballpark to enjoy family fun entertainment with two fireworks shows, three giveaways, and over 6,000 fans in attendance!
- Education Day #1 - 2,500 students and teachers took an educational field trip to the ballpark where students had the opportunity to stop by informational tables and even watch a rocket demonstration!
- Asparagus Night - We saw over 3,000 fans in attendance for our annual Asparagus Night, a staple within the Stockton community, where the players wore speciality asparagus jersey's that were auctioned off and concluded with post-game fireworks!
- Bark in the Park and Autism Awareness Day - We hosted the first of our three Bark in the Parks for the 2023 season where fans had the chance to bring their four-legged friend with them to the field and run the bases after the game!

| | | The Ports become the Caballos de Stockton, translating to the Stockton Horses. Early Hispanics in the area had a fondness and appreciation for hard-working horses. Hispanic ranch managers built strong reputations breaking wild horses, making the Caballos a relatable and deeply-rooted symbol in San Joaquin County. The rebrand is part of Minor League Baseball's "Copa de la Diversion" celebration, embracing the culture and values of Hispanic/Latino communities. | | Mental Health Awareness Night | | Sponsored by Valley Children's Heathcare, this night is dedicated to helping bring awareness to Mental Health issues. | | Alumni Night and Armed Forces Night | | It's a big night at the ballpark when we celebrate both our Ports Alumni and the Nation's Armed Forces. Fans will have the opportunity to get autographs and pictures with Ports alumni such as GJ Raymundo, Lavel Freeman, and more!
